About the Release of The E Book?

2022 marks the 75th year of India’s independence. August 15, 2022 is being hailed as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The auspicious occasion comes at a time when the end of the COVID19 pandemic led supply chain disruptions is in sight. It is an opportune time to find answers to some sharp questions.

  • What kept the Indian economy going through the pandemic?
  • What were the most time-critical components of the government’s fiscal policy and union budgeting responses to COVID19?
  • Which sector has the potential to single handedly power the Indian economy through the next phase of macro-economic challenges and economic growth?
  • Which sector can unlock both the ease of doing business for enterprises and the ease of living for people?

The answer to all the above questions, is in the infrastructure that we aspire for.

Why This E-Book?

The answers to the questions of how we can build the infrastructure we aspire for are hidden in the opportunity size assessment and procurement insights. This e book offers insights on the opportunity size for primarily two stakeholder groups constituting the supply chain that we need:

  • EPC companies who are either contractors or project developers

  • OEMs and MSMEs that are material suppliers and small businesses that manufacture industrial goods for operations and maintenance.

Who Should Read This E Book?

Thhis book is aimed at serving the interests of two segments of stakeholders who have interests in the infrastructure supply chain of India. They are:

  • EPC Companies: EPC companies in India contribute to the physical construction of infrastructure assets and deliver parts or the whole of an infrastructure project. These infrastructure projects can be classified as either EPC, PPP or pure private. Further PPP projects can be of either of the following types, namely:

Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT)

Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT)

Build-Transfer-Operate (BTO)

Design- Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM)

Design-Construct-Manage-Finance (DCMF)

Design-Build-Finance-Operate (DBFO)

  • OEMs and MSMEs Who Are Material Suppliers: OEMs that manufacture capital goods are material suppliers for critical raw materials for construction, power generation, transmission & distribution such as structural steel, TMT bars (saria), cement, clinkers, limestone, transformers, electricals and cables, optic fibers, dry hydrated lime, fly ash, bricks, AAC blocks, etc. contribute to the upstream of the infrastructure supply chain.
